Certificate of Christian Studies

The Certificate of Christian studies is a one-year program designed for students and laypersons who are interested in acquiring a general working knowledge of key aspects of the Christian faith.  The purpose is not only to enrich the student’s understanding of his or her faith, but also to help the student better articulate and live that faith in the world.  Students will attend the same classes as the bachelor students, delving into church history, biblical studies, theology and practical ministry.  This is not a degree program so students are not expected to engage at the same level as degree candidates.  However, some written work may be required and there is a substantial amount of reading required for each class.  The Certificate of Christian Studies can also serve as the first year of the Discipleship Program should the student wish to continue his or her studies.

The Certificate of Christian Studies is awarded through Trinity Learning Community while the Bachelor in Christian Studies is awarded through St. Stephen’s University.
